I’m still looking for a vacation for the family.  Lots of good deals out there but its difficult to decide.  Took a serious look at a cruise, which are incredible deals these days, but certain members of the family get a little motion sickness.  All inclusive vacation packages are also pretty good deals these days but I’m tired of the same old all-inclusive  resort vacation experience.  Mexico is out of the question now.    The Swine Flu is scary, and its unfortunate for Mexico’s tourism.  Mexico is a really nice place, however their tourism has been falling with recent drug wars, violence and now this.  No one wants to visit a country where people are getting kidnapped for ransom.  To digress a little the Swine Flu is making world headlines, and its showing signs of a world epidemic.  Cases have now been reported in Canada, and eleven cases in the united states. I am now considering a vacation rental property closer to home.  Many people are taking vacations closer to home these days and vacation rental properties offers  a good economic alternative and the comforts of home while on vacation.  Check out vacation rental homes.  They have listing all over the world, and you can find just about any vacation rental property you could imagine, all over the world!

When I use the term “Mac” I’m not talking about cosmetics, trucks or burgers, I’m referring to Apple computers.

After using Apple Computers for almost 10 years problem free, I would not even consider using anything else unless I was in a situation where I had no choice.
This being said, it’s not often I have the misfortune of having to struggle with a P.C.

There are times however when I am subjected to the frustration of P.C life. An example of a typical P.C meltdown was the other day when I was trying to help my friend print her airline tickets she purchased online. She usually uses a travel agent but I convinced her that it was cheap and easy to purchase tickets through websites like Priceline.com, Hotwire.com, Travelocity.ca and Expedia.ca.  Purchasing a flight and saving money through online coupons is the easy part, but trying to make her P.C work properly is another story.

The computer took forever to boot, froze 4 times while trying to connect to the internet, couldn’t find the printer, had at least 10 warnings and errors and half an hour later after shutting down and rebooting several times the computer froze again in the middle of trying to print the tickets! We ended up having to go to my house and use my Mac desktop to print the tickets, which took a total of 5 minutes.

Macs start up almost instantly and I have never had any Mac freeze on me in 10 years.
The next day when she was leaving I tried to help her unload her photos from her camera onto her mom’s P.C so she could clear her memory card to take pictures on her trip.  Another P.C and once again the computer took forever to boot, took several attempts to recognize the camera and kept shutting down for absolutely no reason. For brief periods where the computer remained on, the computer had no easy built in program to handle the incoming pictures. After 45 minutes and the computer shutting off about 14 times, the only option was for her to go purchase another memory card and they had to be on a flight in a couple of hours!
Who has the time to mess around with issues like this?
I promised her I would dump the photos on my Macbook Pro into iphoto and burn her a photo disk while she was away.

With amazing coupon savings for Macs at stores like MacMall and the infinite choices of Apple products at the Apple Store, there is just no reason to struggle with a P.C anymore. Take it from me, Macs are easier to use, look better, come loaded with advanced user-friendly programs and are very affordable.

Who has the time these days to fight with your computer? Isn’t it time you made your life easier and purchased a Mac?

Some people think I’m a little crazy obsessing over coupons and savings.  You know what I say? Crazy is shaving your head like Britney Spears or hanging your child over a balcony like Michael Jackson or jumping on a couch on the Opera Show like Tom Cruise. I have never understood WHY people pay full price for anything.  To me… that’s crazy!

We live in an era where any object of our desire is just a click away, and if you are willing to take an extra minute of your time you can find discounts that will save you a fortune with every click. The Coupon King has come across some of the best savings on the web and I want to share with you some of the deals I found. Then you decide if I am crazy like Britney Spears, Michael Jackson or Tom Cruise or if there is a method to my madness. I have done almost all of my Christmas Shopping this year through online purchases and online discount coupons. In fact, I found an amazing site called savingsheadquarters.com where you will find all of the great online coupons I am talking about.

You can’t go wrong with books as gifts and they can be shared and passed along. I saved 35% at Indigo books and music buying gifts for all the big book fans in my family.

While searching for gifts for my girlfriend, I knew Jewelry and lingerie was the way to go. With my purchase at Diamonds International I got a free charm bracelet. The bracelet was so nice that I saved myself more money by giving the charm bracelet to my sister. As if shopping for lingerie was not fun enough, I saved 75% off at the playboy store!  For clothing, Couture Candy is one of the best online stores to find a ton of designers and avoid the malls. Then, for ALL of my friends who have new babies, I found a bunch of coupons and great gifts at Babies R Us.

Finally, I have not been away on a vacation for a very long time, so the biggest gift I bought this Christmas was a trip for my girlfriend and I to Barbados at Priceline flights vacations (priceline.com) and saved a fortune on the flight and hotel.

If you are going to make purchases, use coupons, don’t spend full price…  Because that’s just crazy!

Stay tuned for more deals in my next blog.
