I just heard that when the Gopro HD Hero 960 launches this fall, that there may also be an Gopro LCD screen accessory that is going to be launched.  If you are a current owner of a Gopro, you can currently get an aftermarket LCD Screen.  I do not recall the name(will locate and post) of the one I saw, but I do remember that it was priced at $500 bucks.  I recall the price because who wants to pay that much for a LCD screen.  That’s more then double of my standard def Gopro Hero Camera and almost double the price of my Gopro HD Hero camera.  If the Gopro Hero cameras had an LCD screen, I would probably use it for  a quick view of what I just recorded, but not at that cost of $500.  If you don’t own a Gopro because it has no view screen, I assure you that you don’t need it.    The Gopro HD hero camera quality is amazing, and mounts better then any other wearable cameras I’ve seen and used.  Hope what I heard is true and Gopro launches are Gopro LCD Screen Accessory.  I would be happy with the price range of no more then $99.

Just wanted to comment on the Men’s Journal Gear of the Year award for the Gopro Helmet Hero Camera.  I actually just read it and I agree its one of the best helmet cameras on the market.  I’m really excited to see the Gopro HD 960 model that will be launching this fall.  Its suppose to be priced around $180, so the price point is awesome.  The Gopro HD 960 wont be full 1080p HD, but it will be close at 960p.  I still use a Gopro helmet hero wide that’s standard def, and its perfect in my opinion.  No one has ever commented on poor video quality and it only cost $149, so you can’t beat that.  I’ve take probably hundred videos with it and don’t see a need for the HD version at this point.  Its perfect because I send most of my videos by email or just post online.  May consider the Gopro HD 960 when it launches.

The Gopro Motorsports Hero camera is made to mount to your vehicle and it mounts anywhere you want with ease to your vehicle.  I just mounted mine to the hood of my Mustang.  Will post some pics shortly.  I found that Mounted on the hood, I get the great sound of the engine.  Took a few tries but now  I have it placed perfectly.  Great engine sound and the video is similar to a video game.  The Motorsports wide covers everything and I get a little bit of the hood at the bottom of the picture.  Its the real version of Need for Speed with all the sound effects.  If your not familiar with the Gopro cameras and in particular the motorsports hero, these cameras are tiny, wide angle lens and available in HD.  The best part of the camera is its simplicity to use and it mounts easily to anything and everything.  Completely shockproof and waterproof.  I’ve dropped my gopro a few times now and it still works perfectly, less a few cosmetics on the case.  The other great thing is that you can get a Gopro Camera for around $300 (that’s top of line HD one).

Love the Gopro actions sports cameras.  Small, lightweight, affordable and quality is amazing.  oh yeah they mount to everything.  I’ve mention them several times before in my posts, but I have to comment on how hot these cameras are.  I’m seeing GoPro cameras everywhere I go.  Right from the $99 gopro wrist hero I was someone swimming with in the bahamas to the two I saw mounted on a mustang cobra while driving into work this morning.  Also some crazy videos people are filming with their Gopro’s and posting.  I lost the link, but I got a Gopro video sent to me where someone attached their camera to a turtle.

Gopro owners can get a Gopro Roll Bar Mount for their cameras.  The mount is easy to install and attaches to any tubing or framing that is 1.4″ to 2.5″ thick.  Its perfect for Go Karts!  Its actually a pretty versatile mount.  Some suggestions from gopro are for  bike frames, bumper bars, and  ski/surfboard racks.  The mount has an adjustable pivoting arm to allow for 3-way adjustability giving you the perfect shooting angle.  Its clamp and go.  If you can clamp it you can film it.  Hardware is stainless steel so no worry about rust when you get it wet.  If this mount does not fit your needs, check out the rest of the gopro mounts available.
