There was a great post at onlinesaverblog.com about Scholarship Experts. Scholarship Experts is an extensive free scholarship search which is a very useful free service for students. On the topic of paying for college expenses, I wanted to introduce another great site that I have personally been registered for a few years now. Upromise helps you save for college on your everyday purchases. Basically you register for free and you get a small percentage back from things that you purchase from Upromise partners. The amount it automatically stored in your Upromise account. You can then decide to put your balance in a Tax-Free 529 plan for potential growth, receive a check for college expenses or use the funds to pay down a Sallie Mae Student loan. Upromise has more that 600 online retailers and you get 1% - 25% back from eligible purchases. Get up to 8% from over 8000 restaurants(inc. McDonald’s:). Get up to 1-3% from grocery and drugstore purchases. The Grocery and drugstore purchases is a little of a pain because you have to register a grocery store and/or drugstore card. I would go get one, it really adds up over the years! They list 21,000 drug and grocery store partners nationwide, so they probably have you covered. The retail shopping is through their website, but once again all the retailers you could image are there. For example Home Depot, Sears, Target, Travelocity and Walmart. It would be nicer if you could submit receipts for participating partners or register a credit card, but I guess you can’t have everything. Sign up for Upromise today and start saving for college expenses now at Upromise.
Take a look at the deals from Puritans Pride. I was looking for vitamins and supplement discounts at savingsheadquarters and ran across Puritans Pride online deals. I’ve never taken Puritan’s Pride products but I have seen them on many retailer shelves. They offer a ton of different stuff and cover everything I need. They are offering buy one get one free or buy two get three free. Went Crazy ordered a ton. Check out the Puritan deals at vitamin deals. Even without the online deals, their prices seen be be very reasonable on all products. I already ordered a huge order, but please comment on what you think of Puritan’s Pride products if you have or are taking them.
