You have to check out the video footage taken with Gopro HD Camerasfrom teh Chilean Mine resuce.  Its on the front page of the Gopro website.  The footage is phenomenal and really shows the quality and the Gopro HD Hero cameras ability.  The footage is actual CNN footage and I’m not sure how and why Gopro Cameraswere used, but I’m going to assume because they work.  The size, quality and ability to mount a Gopro HD Hero camera anywhere does make it an ideal choice.  Check out the CNN Chilean Mine Gopro footage at Gopro.

Gopro HD Hero cameras is launching a 3D Hero Expansion pack.  On the website it says that the Gopro 3D expansion pack will hold two HD Hero Cameras in one housing and a synchronization of the two camera will be done via a sync cable.  That’s full 1080p 3D video from your Gopro.  The bad news I guess here is that you need two Gopro HD Hero Cameras, the good news is all HD Hero cameras will be compatible.  Since I own two Gopro HD Hero’s already I am looking forward for the 3D Hero Expansion pack.  I will keep you posted when it launches with reviews.  If you were looking into getting a gopro HD, you have no worries since it will be compatible so no need to wait.

The Gopro HD Hero 960 works great.  960p is fine and my buddies did not notice until I told them.  Then all of a sudden they could tell it wasn’t full HD.  Nonsense.  Can’t go  wrong at $179 compared to $299.  I was unable to find a Gopro coupon but I’m keeping my eyes open for one because I need a second Gopro Camera.

You may or not have heard about ArcSoft but they are industry leaders in retail imaging software.  Arcsoft photo editing and video editing software, is not only affordable, it also powerful and easy to use.  I haven’t used all of their software packages, but I can tell you that their video solutions and PhotoStudio editing software work great.  The Photo Studio goes for $79.99 and I am willing to bet it can do what you need for all your digital pictures easily.  Don’t confuse this package with Photoshop.  I am a user of Adobe’s  Photoshop, but for the average person you don’t need photoshop.  You also will not get a copy of Adobe’s photoshop for 79 bucks.  You will find more tools in Photoshop, provided you want to spend the money and you are willing to take the time to learn the tools.  My point is you probably will use and love PhotoStudio and produce fantastic photos.  I use Photostudio to crop pictures and do RedEye, and can usually get it done in the time it takes my adobe photoshop to load!  Check out all the Arcsoft offerings and for a limited time you can get 15% off with the Arcsoft Coupon Code.

The Gopro HD Hero 960 has finally launched and shipping.  Its big brother the Gopro HD Hero camera is a fantastic camera and I have  been anticipating the HD Hero 960 release to do a gopro hd hero 960 review.  The cost difference is significant between the hero 960 and its full HD hero big brother.  Gopro HD Hero 960 goes for $179 and the Full HD gopro camera goes for $299.  Both cameras are essentially identical, so function is the same, however I found that the gopro HD Hero 960 which only shoots at 960p,720p and 480p lacked some quality on my TV screen.  The 1080p and 60fps shooting modes on the Gopro HD Hero camera makes a big difference.  So the bottom line is its still a great camera at a great price and if your main focus is for Internet distribution and sharing via Vimeo or YouTube, go with the Gopro HD Hero 960.  If you want to make real videos and put them on DVD spend the extra hundred and thirty bucks and go with the Gopro HD Hero.
