The Gopro LCD BacPac is finally here.  It looks amazing and changes how you will use your Gopro HD Hero Camera.  The cost is only $79.99.  What you get is a detachable LCD Screen making it easy to view and playback your video.  It’s going to eliminate the use of my camcorder because now you can use the Gopro like an everyday camera.  It has all the standard features like forward, reverse, and includes an integrated speaker with volume control.  It’s also tiny so your Gopro Hero camera won’t grow on you.  The one thing I did not anticipate with the Gopro LCD Screen is that it comes with a waterproof backdoor housing case.  This is a must have Gopro accessory in my opinion.

The Gopro 3D Kit looks like it is set to launch next month.  The Gopro 3D Kit will include 3D Hero Case and the link cable to join your two Gopro HD Cameras.  The price will be $99 for the kit.  You will of course be required to get a second Gopro HD Camera that will cost you $259.  The cable link between two cameras will take care of video syncing and it will be one touch for the user with everything else automatic where the one camera will control the second to produce true 3D video.  It’s going to be amazing.

Both the Gopro SD Hero and Gopro HD Hero 960 are excellent cameras and shoot great.  I gave a few away for the holidays, but it appears that the more you use the Gopro the more you love it.  Then you run into the problem of the gopro expansion port.  You have to have an Gopro HD Camerato use the expansion items that are about to launch like the batter pak, Gopro LCD, and the cool Gopro 3D expansion kit being previewed at the CES show.  If your budget allows you to get the Gopro HD camera.  As time goes on you will probably regret it.

So happy that Gopro SD Hero 170 is available at Gopro.  I just ordered a few for the nephews.  The Gopro Wide was listed unavailable until yesterday when Gopro listed the Gopro SD Hero 170 replacement.  I previously ordered a couple of Gopro Hero 960, and was seeking a different gift for a few nephews because the extra cost of the Gopro Hero 960. I’m glad I didn’t find anything.  Now everyone is getting a Gopro like planned.  There might be some fighting because two of them will be the Gopro HD Hero 960 instead of the Gopro SD Hero 170.   Order while you can, I’m sure the Gopro SD hero 170 will be in big demand once word gets out they are shipping.  I’m assuming everyone that ordered a Gopro hero wide and waiting for shipping were offered the new Gopro SD Hero 170.
