Okay I just got a pretty cool gift. Its a Bonsai tree. It looks great and I was excited to receive it. I asked where it was purchased and was told it was from Bonsai Boy. Good thing he told me, who new that a tree could require such delicate care. I have a bad feeling my bonsai will never look as good as it looks now. I did some surfing on the web and on the Bonsai Boy website for information. Bonsai Boy has a lot of information on care for you bonsai as well as everything that you could need for your bonsai. They actually have trees and starter kits for under $30 bucks making a great gift idea. Just keep in mind that a bonsai may not be for everyone. Possibly myself. It appears that many people love their bonsai and keeping bonsai’s is quite popular and rewarding. Bonsai are dwarfed trees through pruning, wiring the trunk and branches to create the look of a mature tree. Originated in China a 1000 years ago but later developed by the Japanese. Bonsai literally means “tree in a pot” or “tray planted” in Japanese. Bottom line is your trying to achieve a desired shape while balancing the above ground growth as well as the root growth of your Bonsai. A perfect Bonsai is a great accomplishment, so I’m game. Nothing better then a challenge. I had to order a humidity tray which I got from Bonsai Boy. Only a few bucks, so no big deal. In case your wondering the tray makes a humid growth environment for my bonsai to stay happy. Check out Bonsai Boy, they have everything that you need. The only online coupon I found was for 10% off three or more trees at savings headquarters. Probably not a good idea for me, but I compared their prices on soil(you must use bonsai soil), pruning accessories, and humidity trays and they are equivalent or slightly cheaper to other sites. By the way they have easy care bonsai at Bonsai Boy. I love a challenge. If it doesn’t make it I will post a picture.
