Student Advantagecard is a discount card for students that is widely accepted nationwide. I would imagine there’s probably quite a few student discount cards being pitched, especially local ones, but the Student Advantage card is a good deal. The cost is only $20 for the card and their list of accepted retailers is great. You can also take advantage of their current $10 cash back online deal, making the card only $10. Although its not actual cash back, you will get $10 off your first purchase from national retailer, so you still have to pay the $20 membership free. At $20 bucks and knowing how students shop, you should end up saving a few hundred bucks a year using the Student Advantage Card. I went through their list of National brands and their perspective discounts. I picked a few that I think would be used quite often.
Armani Exhange - 15% off online
AMC Theatres - upto 40% off boxoffice
Barnes & Noble - 5% off
various hotels and car rentals - ranging from 5-15% off
Foot locker - $10 off
Target - 10% off online
Mobile phone providers(incl alltel,verizon,t-mobile, Sprint) - upto $100 off phones
Timberland.com - 15% off
